Bed & Breakfast

Adjacent to the dive centre is The Stone House B&B, run in conjunction with Aquaventures and the ideal location for a weekend visit or week's holiday, particularly when you don't want the hassle of cooking meals but still enjoy a home from home atmosphere. The B&B is open year-round and is renowned for Rianne's breakfast menu and home baked breads, using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. There are no less than 8 choices on the menu including vegan, vegetarian, 3 choices of fish, continental or traditional Irish fry.

There are 4 rooms (each with its own bathroom & power / rain shower), tea & coffee making facilities and plenty of car parking space and garden.

Room 1 - double bed with private bathroom & shower (+ balcony)

Room 2 - double bed with ensuite showerroom (+ balcony)

Room 3 - double and single bed with ensuite showerroom (+ balcony)

Room 4 - four single beds with ensuite showerroom

Child under the age 2 free of charge (baby cot available). Child rate for 2 to 15 years old when sharing with 2 parents - 25% discount.

Access to swimming pool with sauna/jacuzzi/steamroom as part of the Baltimore Leisure Centre (across the road from the B&B) when swimming classes / schools are not using the pool.

Room Only

For those on a tighter budget, we also offer "room only" lettings which must be pre-booked, saving between €7.50-10.00 pp/pn and there are several places in the village where a full Irish or continental style breakfast can be purchased. Please note however that check out time is before 10 a.m. unless other arrangements have been agreed and no food is to be consumed in the room (i.e. no take-aways for dinner or breakfast). Free tea & coffee is available for guests.

Rianne, your hostess speaks French, German, Dutch as well as English and welcomes all guests upon arrival. She is more than happy to assist with restaurant bookings, information about walks, day trips, island excursions, activities and places to visit.

Cancellation Policy and Booking Terms

• A non-refundable deposit of the first night's room rate (per room) is payable at the time of booking. This constitutes a binding contract between yourself and the Stone House B&B.
• Final payment is payable 4 weeks prior to arrival for your stay.
• Please give as much notice as possible if you have to cancel your reservation, as we may offer a full refund in the event that we're able to relet the room(s), otherwise the following will apply:
  • Cancellations giving a minimum of 4 weeks' notice - full refund of net amount (i.e. less non-refundable deposit)
  • Cancellations giving 2 to 4 weeks notice - 50% refund of net amount (i.e. less non-refundable deposit)
  • Less than 2 weeks' notice - no refund
• Checking in time is between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. with later arrivals by prior arrangement.
• Checking out time is at the latest 11 a.m. on your day of departure.

Self Catering

Ideal for families or groups who want a bit more space and kitchen / cooking facilities for meals in.

Cottages and self-catering houses are normally available from Saturday 3 p.m. to the following week Saturday 10 a.m. and always include a mix of double and single beds.

Out of season owners will also consider weekend lets for 2 or 3+ night stays.

Prices vary depending on the time of year and normally include the electricity cost. Aquaventures will try and source suitable accommodation for you as part of your package. There are 2, 3 and 4 bedroomed apartments or houses in the village but book early to avoid disappointment particularly for July and August. There are also luxury cottages and retreats within a few minutes drive from Baltimore on a private estate including swimming pool, orchards, walkways through woodlands, vintage car collection, fresh organic produce from the estate, horse carriage driving and lots more.....

For those seeking elegance and nostalgia - Lough Hyne House (and/or Gate Lodge cottage) provides a hunting lodge country style life from the past with elegant furniture, magnificent views, a secluded patio garden, beautiful walkways through the woods and gardens and a private shingle beach. The Lough is a famous beauty spot 5km from Skibbereen and 4km from Baltimore. The estate is located in a conservation area of outstanding natural beauty and the bathroom is worth noting for its historic bathtub, which used to belong to Winston Churchill!!

Hotel

Casey's of Baltimore is a 3* family run Hotel with stunning views over the Ilen River and harbour. The bedrooms are spacious and have all the comforts one expect of quality accommodation. There is the beautiful seafood restaurant and bar (with traditional Irish music on certain nights) to enjoy and plenty of parking including a helicopter landing area. They also provide a new concept of hospitality and luxury with 6 elegant and spacious suits in Baltimore Townhouse nearby for couples only.

The Waterfront Hotel is located in the "Square" with stunning views of Baltimore harbour. A family run establishment including 3 restaurants (pizza & grill, contemporary or seafood) and Jacob's Bar. In fine weather enjoy dining al fresco or eat upstairs behind 25 foot panoramic windows.

Hostel

For the budget traveler, there is a hostel just round the corner from Aquaventures where bed linen is provided and you have access to the communal showers and kitchen. There is a mix of double, twin, treble or dorm style rooms.

All the above are within easy walking distance of the dive centre, harbour, shops, pubs & restaurants. Aquaventures can put together a package for you to include any of these, depending on length of stay, size of group and personal wishes.
